Add checkbox to Woocommerce checkout that adds tag if clicked

There should be a way to add a checkbox (or multiple checkboxes) to WooCommerce checkout and if checked, apply a tag. I want to use this to allow contacts to subscribe to my email list (although I may use it to let them choose what topics they want to receive emails about). My CRM is Groundhogg and I’ve made a similar suggestion to them.

Groundhogg has this sort of if GDPR settings are enabled but you cannot choose what tag(s) get applied.
