Beehiiv Integration

Beehiiv (https://www.beehiiv.com/) seems to be taking off a bit in the newsletter world and it would be great to have a WPF integration when feasible.

Edit: This looks like a good candidate for an ESP integration but we’re still waiting on them adding an API for static segments. We’ll keep checking back at https://developers.beehiiv.com/docs/v2/1f82a0eaf9b68-create to see if there are any updates over the next few months.

I know Beehiiv has done a lot of additions so are they suitable yet?

    1. Jack Arturo says:

It looks like the API can now *list* static segments, but there isn’t an API for adding a subscriber *to* a segment, so it won’t work yet.

      1. Brian says:

Is that even with API V2 as mentioned here?

        https://product.beehiiv.com/p/api-v2-daily-growth-email-mailchimp-content-import

“Here are just a few examples of things you’ll be able to do via our new API:

Add new subscribers along with any custom fields (name, age, etc.)”…

        1. Jack Arturo says:

Right. It looks like it supports adding subscribers with custom fields, but not segments.

Segments can be listed (https://developers.beehiiv.com/docs/v2/c64e02cfe1026-index) but there’s no way to add a subscriber to one.

Maybe check with their support to see if this is something they’re planning? Or maybe it’s even possible now, it’s just not documented?

  2. Brian says:

We don’t need the capability to add a contact to a Static Segment in Beehiiv. We are just hoping to be able to subscribe them to our newsletter. Is that possible with WP Fusion today?

    1. Jack Arturo says:

In theory it’s possible to build an integration to just subscribe them to a newsletter.

But most of WP Fusion’s functionality is based on segments (or “tags”).

      For example with WooCommerce: https://wpfusion.com/documentation/ecommerce/woocommerce/#tagging-customers

Without the ability to add subscribers to segments, most of WP Fusion’s functionality would be unavailable. So it doesn’t really make sense at the moment for us to invest in creating a Beehiiv integration.

If you want to create an integration on your own, you can find a guide at https://wpfusion.com/documentation/advanced-developer-tutorials/creating-custom-crm-modules/

If you’re looking for a developer, we recommend Codeable: https://wpfusion.com/documentation/advanced-developer-tutorials/how-to-submit-a-job-on-codeable-for-custom-development/

      1. Brian says:

That makes complete sense. Thank you!
