FluentCommunity – Tag-Based Lesson Visibility Control
This is currently possible with WPFusion and LearnDash lessons and topics. Could this be possible with Fluent Community?
1. Granular Lesson Control: Implement tag-based visibility for individual lessons within Fluent Community courses.
2. Drip-Feed Functionality: Allow course creators to set time-based access rules for lessons using tags. [most likely with a CRM automation + new tag feature]
3. Temporary Access Windows: Enable the ability to make lessons available for specific time periods before becoming inaccessible. [most likely with a CRM automation + new tag feature]
4. Visible Course Structure: Maintain the visibility of the overall course structure while restricting access to specific lesson content.
5. Integration with Automation Tools: Ensure compatibility with automation platforms for dynamic tag management and lesson unlocking.
6. Flexible Tag Assignment: Provide options to assign tags at the lesson, module, or course level for maximum control.
The integration is limited at the moment because we can’t add settings to the FluentCommunity UI, they have to live on their own settings page.
This is all possible in theory, but we are already getting some complaints that this page is too hard to navigate for people who have a lot of courses / spaces. Adding these settings could potentially add hundreds of more inputs to the page.
We’ll follow up with the FluentCommunity team and see if it would be possible to update their UI to allow us to add settings to individual courses, lessons, and modules. Since it’s a relatively new plugin I think they are busy with core functionality at the moment, but they’ve been receptive to our requests in the past.
