Gamipress – Link with Tag for Ranks
This has already been implemented with Badges. So, if the user is given a certain tag, a rank will be granted to the user. Ranks in gamipress seem to be sequential, so, I guess, only the highest rank will be given even if the user has the tag for all the ranks possible.

Simple feature Requests
Totally agree, I was trying to do exactly the same thing. In the end, I created a new badge that I use as rank to do that
This would be a great feature to have and would improve performance over GamiPress having to sort through all the ranks to see what to award.
