Make Woo email optin compatible with newer block-based checkout page
The option to enable an email opt-in checkbox on the WooCommerce checkout page is not working on my site, which I assume is because it is designed to work with the older shortcode-based checkout page but not the newer block-based page (which I am using). I am now using WP Fusion to integrate various plugins with FluentCRM, but I previously was using Active Campaign integrated into Woo with a plugin called Active Woo. After I upgraded my checkout to the new block editor, the same problem occurred where the checkbox was not appearing. I contacted the developer, who rapidly pushed out an update that fixed this — so I know it is possible! Please do the same and make this option compatible with the block-based Woo checkout page!

We actually tried this at the beginning of April but at the moment WooCommerce doesn’t support extending that part of the checkout in a way that we could build anything reliable…. and I don’t want to put a lot of time into it just to have it break in a month or two. So we’re waiting for the new checkout to be more complete / developer hooks added before we attempt it again.
