Option to delete/save single log entries + see entries before/after

It would be amazing if there was an option to delete single log entries and also to mark certain log entries as saved. Sometimes our troubleshooting can go on for a bit and being able to save log entries to exclude them from auto-deletion would be helpful there. Being able to delete a single log entry would also help to clean up any issues that have been resolved or entries that are non-issues and can be ignored by the team. Another great feature would be to see X number of log entries prior/after to the one we’re currently viewing. We often just look at errors and having a simple way to see the log entries right before and/or after would speed up the troubleshooting without having to filter by a user/source and then finding the timestamp again. (Also there seems to be some issue with your feature request form. Every time I start typing in the main text box it keeps putting the type cursor back into the title field. I ended up typing this request as a note and then copying it here. Had this issue with previous feature requests as well but not sure if others can replicate the same issue.)

    For seeing entries before or after a particular one, you can copy the link icon next to the timestamp, and this will take you back to that point in the logs, showing the entries before and after.

    Being able to delete single entries or flag them to be “preserved” from deletion is a good suggestion, we’ll definitely consider it.

    (Also, yes, the Create New Request form does that for me too. It’s annoying. It’s a bug in Simple Feature Requests. If you wait a moment after typing the request it stops searching and then it won’t do that… but I’ll also see if we can hack together a fix on our end 👍)

      Thanks for letting me know about the link icon. I had never thought about actually clicking on it only ever copy it to send it off to someone. Clicking it definitely does the trick.

      Thanks for considering the option to save/delete entries as well!

      As for Simple Feature Requests, hopefully they fix it. If waiting a moment after typing ‘fixes’ the issue because the title bar then stops searching for existing requests it might be more of a UX issue rather than a bug… Good luck!
