Require tags for autologin

Hi, plz consider adding tag request for autlogin. This would be awesome to make course trials that are cancelled after some time.

For example, I could assign a tag “Course trial” to an user, than giving it an auto login link requiring that tag, and so doing the user could see the course.

After this, I could remove with an automation that tag, and user would not be able to access.

This is different from restricting page with wp fusion feature, because with my custom configuration, user must first see the home page, then the course trial page.

  1. I’m going to decline this. It’s too complicated to implement / document.

The preferred solution would be to just require the “Course Trial” tag to view the course.

Then you can remove that tag in an automation, and the user will no longer be able to access the course. That’s how it works now and it works great.

If you wanted to block access to the whole site, you could apply a Lockout Tag via an automation: https://wpfusion.com/documentation/getting-started/general-settings/#site-lockout

And that would also work with Auto Login.

But creating a system of courses being protected by one tag, while the auto-login link *itself* is protected by another tag that’s configured on a separate page…. it’s just too confusing and I can easily see people forgetting they’ve set it up and breaking the auto login. This would be best achieved via custom code if you’re determined you need it to work that way.
