Two CRM’s in preparation for switch over

Business use case: Would love to turn on and sync with a 2nd CRM (ie: PUSH ONLY). We are considering a move from EngageBay to FluentCRM. We’d love to turn on FluentCRM as push only synchronization. create / update to FluentCRM for records – so that: we can run both at the same time. This would prepare us for the switch going forward. Workarounds: I understand the option is: mass export from EngageBay, mass import to FluentCRM, then change wpFusion to point to FluentCRM. No problem. OR: Setup a Zapier or Make.com job that pushes from EngageBay over to FluentCRM for every contact record update or creation. We get it. Just thinking outside the box. Thoughts?

  1. This is something we’d like to do, and we’ve tried. But unfortunately it’s basically impossible at this point. It would require a complete re-write of the plugin.

If we ever release a 4.0, it will allow syncing bidirectionally with multiple CRMs simultaneously… but because of the performance implications, we will need to process the data asynchronously instead of in real time. Maybe even offload it to an outside server and work through it there.

Since FluentCRM can connect directly to WordPress, and has many plugin integrations of its own, I’d recommend installing FluentCRM and configuring it, but leaving WP Fusion connected to EngageBay. Then when you’re ready to switch, just reset WP Fusion and connect it to FluentCRM.
