Webhooks integration with GetResponse

Looking for a better integration between WPFusion and GetResponse. GetResponse has recently released the web hooks feature which might help to improve the integration with WPFusion.

Especially since GetResponse is building out to become quite a great marketing platform, landing page builder, webinars, automations, email marketing etc. It would be great if it has more 2 directional syncs both from WPfusion to GR and GR back to WPfusion.

  1. Hey Reno,

I’ve looked at the GetResponse webhook docs (https://www.getresponse.com/help/how-to-create-a-webhook.html), but at the moment the only relevant webhook is “Subscribed”.

I.e. we could create a new user in WordPress when someone subscribes in GetResponse.

We couldn’t sync any future changes back from GetResponse to WordPress, or detect when a subscriber’s tags are modified.

If that would still be useful to you considering the limitations, let us know and we can move it onto the feature request list. Thanks!

    1. Right, they do have others, but it’s not very practical to import a new WordPress user when a contact opens an email, or clicks any link.

So, just to confirm, you have a requirement whereby every contact added to GetResponse needs to be imported as a new WordPress user?

And you understand that it will only import the data on the contact record at the moment they are subscribed— any future edits won’t be synced, and tags won’t be synced?

      1. It would be handy to be able to use the GetResponse Landingpages where leads will sign up and having that create a new user in WP. However, we also use Buddyboss and memberpress so I doubt that is going to work well.

Probably best to wait and see if there will be more availability such as tags sync etc.

        Thank you.

      2. Hi Jack,

Just to follow up on this one, it would be super helpful if a new lead added to GetResponse could be added into a follow up cycle of the autoresponder.

The GetResponse WP plugin does have this functionality, and GR does allow it but the WPfusion integration currently can only add the lead and the autoresponder follow up sequence can’t kick off.

        Cheers,

        Reno

        1. Right, I see how they have the option to select both a list and an autoresponder for new contacts.

WP Fusion uses tags to indicate how someone signed up, or what product they purchased, etc., etc.

With most platforms you’d use a tag as a trigger for an autoresponder— but GetResponse doesn’t support tags as a trigger. Only “Added to list”.

We have a note about this in our Known Limitations list at https://wpfusion.com/documentation/faq/crm-compatibility-table/#getresponse

I do see that they have added a Workflow builder. The workflow builder *can* be triggered by a tag, but unfortunately it looks like it can’t trigger an autoresponder. However it can trigger an email sequence (https://i.wpfusion.com/tbrmxs), so that looks like the best way to go for now.

Maybe one day GetResponse will add tags as a trigger to autoresponders as well.
