Woocommerce Box Office
Currently looking to transition to an events plugin that allows the purchaser of the tickets to edit the attendee information after purchase. Unfortunately our current event plugin doesn't allow this. It would be awesome if Woocommerce Box Office were a supported plugin so we could make this transition while still connecting easily to our CRM, Hubspot.
Hey Ashley, which event plugin are you using currently?
I hadn’t heard of WooCommerce Box Office until now. An integration is possible in theory but it’s a fair bit of work, and even after we release a new integration it often takes some time to work through all the kinks.
Have you looked at The Events Calendar? https://wpfusion.com/documentation/events/the-events-calendar-event-tickets/ (affiliate link https://wpfusion.com/go/theeventscalendar )
We already have a robust integration with that plugin, and it can use WooCommerce to sell tickets, so it should have similar functionality to Woo Box Office.
It does allow attendees to edit their information: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/tickets-managing-your-orders-and-attendees/#editing-attendee-info
Hi Jack,
When I attempted to use this plugin, it doesn’t work with Woocommerce Subscriptions because the tickets are created separately from Woocommerce.
So while I can sell a ticket for a fee of $1000, I can’t offer the option of $1000 split over 2 months. Due to the higher cost of our event tickets, we like to our this option to our members and other potential clients.
Besides The Events Calendar, I have not found another events plugin that allows attendee editing and compatible with Wp Fusion.
Apologies for the delay in response, I did not receive an email notification telling me about your reply.
Hey Ashley,
Sorry about that, there was an issue with the notifications for a couple of weeks that we didn’t notice 🤦
With the Event Tickets Plus plugin, by default it uses their payment gateway. But you can create a WooCommerce product for the ticket and then have all the options available with Woo.
To start, disable Tickets Commerce: https://i.wpfusion.com/69qq1XxJ
And under Integrations, review the WooCommerce settings to make sure the order statuses work for you (https://i.wpfusion.com/M9JvSxFp). Usually the defaults are fine.
Then under Events, create an Event, and add a ticket. This will create and link an associated WooCommerce product. Edit the product and you’ll be able to change it to a subscription payment plan: https://i.wpfusion.com/bXnjSJ6X
Here’s a guide from their blog: https://theeventscalendar.com/blog/learning/how-to-integrate-woocommerce-with-event-tickets-plus-for-effortless-event-registration/
We are adding new integrations all the time and we’ll certainly consider a Woo Box Office integration, but an integration like this usually takes a couple of months to build, so I’m trying to think of solutions that could get you started right away 🙂
