HighLevel Event Tracking (Add wrapper to append or add a note to CRM)
We use HighLevel but this would also be useful for other CRMs such as ActiveCampaign that have this feature. But it would be awesome to be able to append notes in addition to updating custom fields. For our use case, we use Fluent forms to create a form that is filled out multiple times by the contact annd when it is filled out want to have that data inside of HighLevel but not overwrite other submissions. The easiest way to accomplish this seems to be by adding a note to the contact record, but from what I can see this does not seems to be possible yet.
This would probably go best in our Event Tracking addon (https://wpfusion.com/documentation/event-tracking/event-tracking-overview/) since it already sends that kind of data.
But I think it would be better if we could add an “activity” item to the contact’s feed, rather than a note. Something here: https://i.wpfusion.com/SxPGTTkz
Or would you prefer it as a note?
It seems like the Activity component already has a lot of votes as a feature idea: https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/crm/p/contact-activity-panel
That would potentially work. I do want to be able to view the submitted Fluent Form data from within the CRM (or maybe just a link like view submission) would work.
And trying to think about how this could be broadly useful.
Hey Jack,
Any idea on if you’ll be able to tie WordPress site activity into the “Activity Fields” sections any time soon? GHL might be working on it on their end so not sure, but if we could get a great way to track UTM parameters on our WordPress sites as well as pages visited, etc. it’d be beautiful.
I just checked again and GHL still hasn’t opened up the Activity timeline over the API, so we don’t have a great place to put that data.
I see there are several new comments at the feature request at https://ideas.gohighlevel.com/crm/p/contact-activity-panel, and GHL has marked it as “under review”, but there haven’t been any updates from them since September of last year.
We’re subscribed to updates on the feature request so once they implement it, we’d be happy to add support on our end.
Thanks Jack, I see that over there…
