#Connect WordPress with your CRM Using WP Fusion
For demonstration purposes, we’ll be using HubSpot, but the steps outlined below can be applied to integrate your website with any CRM of your preference.
WP Fusion supports over 50 different CRMs, marketing automation systems, and 150+ WordPress plugins 💪
Please note that this is going to be a quick demonstration as we aim to offer a broad overview of how to use your CRM with WP Fusion and we already have plenty of help docs and guides on CRM integrations.
#About WP Fusion
There is a free version of the plugin called WP Fusion Lite and the paid one is simply referred to as WP Fusion.
The paid plugin can be purchased for an annual fee of $297 for a single website license. This is the lowest plan. Higher plans offer access to advanced WP Fusion features. Learn more from the pricing page.
For this tutorial, we are using the paid WP Fusion plugin because the Lite plugin has limitations. For example, while the Lite plugin supports tracking user behavior and access control in WordPress core, it can’t sync custom fields or apply tags from over 100 other WordPress plugins like is possible in the full version.
#Install WP Fusion & Connect With HubSpot
Download the WP Fusion plugin to your local computer.
Then install and activate the plugin on your WordPress website by going to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin.
Next, from your WordPress menu, go to the WP Fusion Settings page, and under Select CRM, choose HubSpot.
Then hit the Authorize with HubSpot button and you’ll be directed to your HubSpot account to select your domain and initiate the integration.
After the integration is complete, a connection between your website and HubSpot will be established, return to the WP Fusion Settings page. Add your unique WP Fusion license key to get automatic updates and support.
Before moving on to the next steps, hit the Save Changes button.
#Import Tags, Track Events & Use Webhooks
After connecting your website with HubSpot, WP Fusion automatically imports tags (aka “Lists” in HubSpot) into your website.
You can use these lists to carry out various marketing automation tasks, control access to your website’s content, and personalize user experience based on their behavior, among other things.
Let’s say you want to build an email list and track user engagement.
You add a form plugin to your WordPress site and connect it with HubSpot using WP Fusion.
When users submit their email addresses, several things happen:
- WP Fusion adds them to your specified HubSpot lists
- The form submission is tracked as an event in HubSpot
- A workflow triggers a welcome sequence in HubSpot based on this event
This automation flow ensures new subscribers are not only added to your list but also enter your marketing funnel and immediately start receiving personalized content.
Of course, all these need to be pre-configured. We have separate guides on how to use tags, and webhooks and create automation and workflows on HubSpot:
- HubSpot + WordPress integration
- Working with tags
- HubSpot site tracking
- HubSpot event tracking
- HubSpot webhooks
- Using HubSpot lists
- HubSpot automation & workflow
